Life is what we make of it, and our attitude is the magnet that brings forth what we get out of it. Mindset is everything to how we treat life, therefore it's our filter to how we perceive things that take place within it...
Some people have the luxury of being super lucky, while the rest of us have to work our asses off to get the same thing(s). That's not a complaint, it is what it is, and nothing more. So what do you do about it...? It's simple, just be in tune with your surroundings and aware of the things that are happening...
What I've grown to learn in life is, people will have all sorts of favorable situations that happen for them, but because of how it was presented, or in the form it came, they will simply boot themselves out of it without realizing it, until it's too late, and that sucks. It's too bad for them because they were in their own way...
Majority of people think they have to mold or force something to go their way, but it's the opposite. All we have to do is just be in tune with what is actually happening, and aware of what it really is. This key factor makes most of us overlook favorable circumstances that will get us to that next level, exposing us to greater possibilities...
Look for favorability in any circumstances that you have been working towards to happen because more than likely it's happening right in front of you...
Progress
If and when you find yourself in a position where you feel like you are not progressing, more than likely it may be from the lack of recognition on your own behalf of what you have been doing. What I mean is, you can find yourself going through the motions, putting work in, and you know that you have been dedicated, but it seem like nothing is moving forward, it's quite possible you are viewing it that way out of frustration. Success in anything, on every level is a process...
Take account of what you have been doing, and look at how much you've accomplished. That will tell you if you have made progress. Too many times we beat ourselves up for what we haven't done yet, thinking we should be a lot further than we are. All you have to do is give yourself credit for what you have done thus far, and acknowledge it because you deserve it. That is what keeps you in the game, and allows you to know when things are favorable to you...
Progress is measured by what you've done, what you are doing, and what you've accomplished . It's a never ending process...
